From Amsterdam to 151 countries
Transferz was founded in 2020 by Johan van Vulpen, Simen Schimmel, and Jan van der Veen. Three serial entrepreneurs who previously built and sold Greetz to Photobox Group (now Moonpig, LSE: MOON). They saw a category ripe for change: airport transfers plagued by fragmented supply, inconsistent quality, and zero transparency.
With the early acquisition of Taxi2Airport's global transfer network, Transferz had a flying start, quickly reaching coverage across 1200+ airports, seaports, and train stations in 151 countries. Backed by active entrepreneurs from the travel and tech industry, the focus shifted from expansion to building the operational infrastructure the category always lacked.
